Purpose

The Communication Department in IM Telkom provides the Bachelor Degree of  communication science on the following competences:

  1. Mastering the communication theories and be able to practice the skills based on its profession both in the internal atmosphere and external field
  2. Having a great deal on businees communication management
  3. Having the ability to develop communication business strategy and expanding creativity to handle every communication business challenges and barriers
  4. Creating a professional alumnus who masters all broadcasting and marketing communication aspects
  5. Having an integrity and vision to create the competitive business opportunity

Konsentrasi

Marketing Communication 
The alumnus will have the ability of making interesting feature wiritng, analyzing consumer and market, media planning and research, advertisement planning strategic, copywriting and visualisation, editing and producing advertisemnet for the printed and electronic media.

Broadcasting

The alumnus will be able to combine the planning, designing and producing radio, television and movie production.

Kurikulum

The department of communication in IM Telkom has a unique curriculum structure compared to other similar communication department in Indonesia.  The uniquenesses rely on 75% of Communication Curriculum Quantity,  15% of Management Comprehension and 10% of Information and Communication Technology.

  • TV BROADCASTING LABORATORY

This TV Broadcasting Laboratory has the most complete national-standard equipment.  It has two chambers, the control and production room.  Those rooms are completed with 2 cameras, mixer/video switcher, monitor, teleprompter, personal computer, editing computer, lighting, background studio, etc.  All facilities will be used  on the courses of Presenting, Audio/Video Editor, Cameraman, News Producing, News Producer, etc.


  • RADIO BROADCASTING LABORATORY

A comfort laboratory which is completed with all various of facilities.  Those are microphone, headphone, mixer, etc to be provided for newscaster practical, broadcaster, advertising production and news reader rehearsal
